What are your opening hours?
We’re open Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30am to 7:30pm — closed on Mondays. Food is served Wednesday to Sunday.
Where is Leicester House, and is there parking?
We’re at 14 High Street, Glynneath, SA11 5BU — on the A4109 through the centre of town, just off the A465. There’s on-street parking along High Street, and a large free car park two minutes’ walk away — opposite the building, behind the shops. Get directions on Google Maps.
Do you serve food?
Yes — food is served Wednesday to Sunday: fresh, locally baked pastries and cakes alongside the coffee — see the menu. Our kitchen is on its way, launching with breakfasts: follow @leicester.house for the opening date.
Is Leicester House a café or a bar?
Both. By day we’re a speciality coffee shop and café; as evening comes the bar takes over — ales on tap, Welsh gins and considered wines until 7:30pm, Tuesday to Sunday, with a craft cocktail list coming soon.
Do I need to book a table?
No — you’re welcome to walk in any time. For larger groups or private hire, email hello@leicester-house.com and we’ll sort it.
Is Leicester House family friendly?
Yes. During the day we’re a welcoming café space for families — the walkways are wide enough for prams, and there’s even a babyccino on the menu for our smallest regulars. Evenings have a more relaxed, adult atmosphere.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes — dogs are very welcome at Leicester House. We’re a natural stop after the waterfall walks.
Is Leicester House wheelchair and pram accessible?
Yes. Entry is step-free through the front door, past the mural, with walkways wide enough for wheelchairs and prams. There’s a large single accessible toilet, and two entrances — one at the front of the building and one at the side.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is being installed right now — ask at the counter for the latest.
Do you show live sport?
Yes — we have three screens with Sky Sports, showing football, rugby and the big occasions. What we’re screening is announced on @leicester.house.
Can I book Leicester House for a private event?

How do I get to you from the A465?
From the A465 Heads of the Valleys road, take the exit for Glynneath (A4109) and follow the signs into the town centre — we’re at 14 High Street, right on the main road. Full directions, including by bus and bike, are on our location page.
Are you near Waterfall Country?
Very — the famous waterfall walks at Pontneddfechan, including Sgwd yr Eira, start about five minutes from our door by car. We’re the natural stop for coffee before the walk or a drink after. See the area guide.
